19832 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Is he satisfied that there is sufficient emergency housing supply in Canterbury to meet demand; if so, on what basis?

Hon Tama Potaka: Yes, I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that there are currently 25 Emergency Housing suppliers in Canterbury who have opted in to the Ministry’s Emergency Housing Supplier Standards. Currently, 16 of these suppliers are being used for clients who require emergency housing. These supplier standards set expectations for the level of service emergency housing suppliers need to provide those using their services.
