19823 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Attorney-General: How many full-time equivalent staff in the Minister's agencies, if any, are working on the Government's response to the Royal Commission into Historical Abuse in State Care and the in the Care of Faith-based Institutions, listed by permanent or temporary, and role?
Hon Judith Collins: The number of Crown Law staff assisting agencies with their work on the Government's response to the Abuse Inquiry will vary depending on what advice and assistance is needed by agencies leading the response to the Abuse Inquiry at any point in time. By way of example, in March 2025 nine Crown Law staff contributed to work relating to the Government's response to the Abuse Inquiry as follows: 1 x Solicitor-General (permanent) 2 x Senior Crown Counsel (permanent) 3 x Crown Counsel (permanent) 3 x Assistant Crown Counsel (permanent) There will be Parliamentary Counsel, editorial and publications staff involved in drafting and publishing amendments to legislation, as required, for the Government response.
