Rt Hon Winston Peters: I have been advised that MFAT is only aware of Rakon goods exported to the United States that require a permit. Rakon products do not fall within the scope of the New Zealand Strategic Goods List. Although “catch-all” provisions apply if the export meets the conditions listed in the Catch-all Gazette Notice and Explanatory Notes. Most exports to the US military are exempt from catch-all provisions.
