19810 (2026). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What measures are in place, if any, to ensure prison staff are adequately supported while working in increasingly pressured prison environments?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I refer the member to the answer to WPQ 19816 (2026). I am advised that Corrections provides a wide range of learning and training opportunities across case management, community settings and custodial. Included in the custodial suite of modules are Managing Internal Concealment, Shared Accommodation Risk Assessment, and Assessing the Risk of Violence. Additionally, I am advised that Corrections provides a range of specific wellbeing support which includes the Employee Assistance Programme, a series of employee led networks to share ideas and build awareness, discounted gym memberships, and health checks (including influenza vaccinations).
