19807 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Māori Development: What responsibility, if any, does the Minister have for each of the 138 recommendations of the Royal Commission into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions?

Hon Tama Potaka: I do not currently have lead responsibility for any of the 138 recommendations of the Royal Commission into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions. The Government's response will be published later this month and will include the details of the approach to the response, alongside the involvement of relevant agencies. I am advised that Te Puni Kōkiri has supported the development of the Government's response document and will be among the key government agencies supporting its implementation. I am also advised that Te Puni Kōkiri will not lead the response to any of the 138 recommendations.
