Hon Chris Bishop: I was advised that the First Home Grant is not the difference between being able to purchase or not purchase a home for most first home buyers. For buyers who may be impacted, the discontinuation of the First Home Grant may delay their first home purchase. The First Home Loan, which is a more effective tool to support first home buyers into homeownership, remains available.
