19733 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Education: Does the Minister agree with Te Akatea president Bruce Jepsen's statement that the Government's curriculum rewrite will "perpetuate racism and ongoing inequity in our schools", and if not, why not?

Hon Erica Stanford: No. Because the refreshed national curriculum strengthens te ao Māori content and supports te reo Māori learning across dual pathways.
