19672 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to Replies 13168 and 18714 (2026): (a) at any time between February 2025 and 1 August 2025, did any individual within NZTA undertake a road safety risk assessment in respect of the cohort referred to in Reply 13168; (b) if so, what was the outcome of that assessment, and to whom was it reported; and (c) if not, why not?
Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that NZTA did not undertake a road safety risk assessment specific to the 17 individuals who converted their licenses using fraudulent or falsified information between 1 February 2025 and 1 August 2025 because the following two activities that had been undertaken across the cohort was considered sufficient:
(a) the aggregated safety risk assessment across the cohort and
(b) the individual safety risk assessment for any individuals in the cohort that were identified as being very high risk to determine if the testing option should be offered to them.
