19667 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Minister of Education: Further to his answer to written question 11286 (2024): who will determine which method of structured literacy will be taught?

Hon Erica Stanford: All approved structured literacy providers will cover the main elements of structured literacy approaches. Schools will be able to determine which of the approved providers will best suit their needs. A panel of experts has developed criteria for determining what structured literacy professional development providers should deliver and achieve, which will be assessed as part of the procurement process, in line with Government procurement rules. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 19668 and 19669 (2024).
