19663 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 18546 (2026), what organisation or people are running the dedicated voluntary programme for families/whānau of participants in the second Oranga Tamariki pilot military-style academy?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that as part of their role, Oranga Tamariki social workers and the Military-Style Academy Clinical team are engaging with families and whānau of the young people participating in the second Military-Style Academy programme, to understand their support needs. I am further advised that where families and whānau agree, external services will be sourced to meet their needs. The services will be from a range of providers and Government agencies.
