19639 (2026). Hon Willie Jackson to the Minister for Māori Development: What assessment has he made of the impact of cutting people capability and culture roles on Te Puni Kōkiri's ability to recruit, retain, and develop staff with the specialist Māori development expertise the ministry requires?

Hon Tama Potaka: This is an operational matter for Te Puni Kōkiri and the Secretary for Māori Development. I am advised final decisions on Te Ara Whakamua | The Way Forward 2026 (Corporate and Risk & Assurance) have yet to be made.
