19604 (2024). Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Minister for Land Information: What is the proposed timeline, if any, for a cabinet decision on the proposed Watts Peninsula reserve project?

Hon Chris Penk: LINZ is currently working with stakeholders such as local Iwi on the future of Watts Peninsula. There is not currently a proposed timeline for a Cabinet decision on the proposed reserve at Watts Peninsula. I would anticipate seeking Cabinet’s approval, if it is required, as soon as practicable after I make a decision on whether to continue with the 2017 Cabinet mandate or to implement an alternative option.
