19580 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Housing: How many landlords, if any, are expected to enter or re-enter the rental market because of the return of no-cause evictions?

Hon Chris Bishop: The changes we are making will make it easier for landlords to be part of the rental property market, reducing barriers to the supply of rental properties. I am advised that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development is unable to quantify any potential impact on landlords entering or re-entering the market over the next three years.
