19481 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: What is the breakdown of reasons for the 299 terminations of Kāinga Ora tenancies in the year to March 2025?

Hon Tama Potaka: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that, of the 299 tenancies terminated between March 2024 and March 2025, 48 of these were recorded as being for disruptive behaviour, 76 were recorded as being for rent debt, and 175 were listed as being for 'other' reasons, which includes, but is not limited to, abandonment, non-occupation, possession, required relocation, damages to property as well as lack of access.
