19432 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Why was Kāinga Ora able to deliver 2,158 new build homes between 30 June 2024 and 31 March 2025, 63% of its total delivery of 3,418 new homes for the 2024/25 year, but has only delivered 634 new build homes, 34% of its forecast delivery of 1,845 homes over the same period in the current financial year?
Hon Chris Bishop: Delivery between 30 June 2024 and 31 March 2025 reflects the completion of a large number of projects that had been designed and progressed over several prior years, resulting in a concentration of completions in that period. I am advised that a greater proportion of deliveries are being delivered between March and June this financial year because of Kāinga Ora’s review of projects in FY25 to optimise value for money and align with its Renewal Programme.
