Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: What measures, if any, are being considered to address the systemic failures causing need for emergency housing that were identified by the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) such as poor communication between agencies like MSD, Health NZ, and the Department of Corrections?

Hon Tama Potaka: Feedback received by the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) was that a person’s need for emergency housing is often due to a complex range of factors, and that systemic failures was only one factor noted.
