19334 (2025). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Housing: What metrics, if any, will Kāinga Ora use to determine which of its properties are "unfit housing stock" under the Kāinga Ora turnaround plan, and how transparent will that process be to the public and affected tenants?

Hon Chris Bishop: I refer the Member to WPQ 19261 (2025). Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that selling homes or land is not new for Kāinga Ora. Any home or land identified for sale is generally listed and sold on the open market by real estate agents. If there are tenants living in a home we plan to sell, we will support them to move to another Kāinga Ora home, carefully considering their needs in matching them to a home and community.
