19302 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Associate Minister of Finance: Where there are grounds to decline a claim under s 77 of the Natural Hazards Insurance Act will the Natural Hazards Commission decline that claim, or will it exercise a discretion whether or not to decline the claim?

Hon David Seymour: Whether to decline a claim is an operational decision for Natural Hazards Commission. I am advised any decision to decline a claim is made on a case-by-case basis.
