Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 5372 (2025), 81759(2024) and 8229 (2025), why would it require substantial collation and research to provide monthly official data about the percentage of critical (within 24 hours) and very urgent (within 48 hours) Oranga Tamariki reports of concern that are addressed within these timeframes if operational data becomes official data one month and three working days after operational data is recorded, and Oranga Tamariki is constantly collecting operational data on reports of concern that are not addressed within 48 hours?

Hon Karen Chhour: I refer the Member to my response to WPQ 8229 (2025). I also draw the Member’s attention to the ‘Performance Measures for Ministerial Priorities’ reports which I have instructed Oranga Tamariki to produce on a quarterly basis to provide updates on key performance indicators, including timeliness around reports of concern. I have directed Oranga Tamariki to make these reports publicly available.
