19247 (2025). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Justice: How will the government, if at all, track whether the new citizen’s arrest powers will result in increased harm or injustice for vulnerable populations such as Māori, Pasifika, and migrant communities?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: Any use, or misuse, of arrest powers is subject to Police oversight.
