19144 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Racing: What analysis, if any, has been or will be undertaken on the fiscal cost to taxpayers of the tax concessions recommended in the TAB NZ advisory committee report before any decisions are made?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: We have not commissioned any specific analysis at this stage on the fiscal cost to taxpayers of the tax concessions recommended in the TAB NZ advisory committee report. Should any tax changes be considered by the Government, it would be standard practice for the fiscal implications to be fully assessed at that point. Responsibility for this analysis would sit with the Minister of Revenue, supported by Inland Revenue.
