19101 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: How many new positions for lawyers who will represent defendants in court (if any) are proposed in the change proposal of the Public Defence Service which is currently being consulted on?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that, if the proposed changes currently being consulted on were to be confirmed, 12 new positions would be established for lawyers who would represent defendants in court.
