19086 (2025). Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Associate Minister of Transport: Why did New Zealand abstain from voting on International Maritime Organization policies to reduce shipping sector emissions to net-zero by 2050?

Hon James Meager: New Zealand is preserving its position while the Government is analysing the draft resolution. Advice will be provided ahead of any formal adoption at the next IMO meeting in October.
