19070 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Justice: What preparation has the Electoral Commission done to date to prepare for the 2026 General Election?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that after each electoral cycle the Electoral Commission moves into planning and preparing for the next election. This begins with identifying improvements from the previous cycle and creating an integrated plan across three programme tranches – define and design, building and testing, delivery and close. The Commission has implemented the 8 recommendations of the Auditor-General's external review, incorporated Electoral Amendment Act changes and boundary review changes.
