18979 (2026). Mike Davidson to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How will the members of the new national lottery grant committee be appointed, when will they be appointed and by whom?

Hon Brooke van Velden: There will be five members appointed to the national lottery distribution committee. They will be appointed by the Minister of Internal Affairs. Expressions of interest are being sought from current members of lottery grant committees, with the intention of making appointments in July 2026. Any roles not able to be filled from this will be filled through a call for nomination process at a later date.
