18961 (2026). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister for Pacific Peoples: Further to his answer to written question 17873 (2026): as of 12 May 2026, has he set his priorities for the portfolio, if so, what are they?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: My three priorities are to ensure the Ministry for Pacific Peoples continues to be the centre of excellence in leading Pacific perspectives across government policy as we strive to improve the lives of Pacific people in New Zealand; that the Ministry delivers its currently funded programmes efficiently and effectively, with a focus on improved outcomes; and that the Ministry contributes to public sector transformation by leveraging digital innovation and enabling more integrated, cross-agency service delivery.
