18908 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: How much funding, if any, has been allocated to early mental health intervention for parents and whānau who have experienced perinatal loss in the 2025/26 financial year, and from which budget appropriation?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that support for parents and whānau following perinatal loss, including access to mental health services, is provided through existing maternity, primary care, and mental health service funding.
