18878 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: How much funding was set aside in Budget 2025 for 20 Hours ECE?

Hon David Seymour: Budget 2025 provided a 0.5% cost adjustment to the main Early Childhood Education (ECE) subsidies including; ECE Funding Subsidy, 20 Hours ECE, Equity Funding (all components) and Targeted Funding for Disadvantage. The 20 Hours ECE component of this equates to increased funding by $26.923m over the forecast period. In the 2025/26 financial year $1,548,824,000 was appropriated for 20 Hours Early Childhood Education.
