18860 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Education: Is the Ministry of Education currently reviewing the Hostel Regulations 2005; if so, how many hui have been held with representatives from schools with hostels?

Hon Erica Stanford: Yes. The Ministry of Education has held 13 hui with representatives from schools with hostels. The Ministry has also met regularly with the New Zealand Boarding School Association and the Aotearoa Boarding School Association.
