18748 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many tenants, if any, has Kāinga Ora housed from the Housing Register between 1 July 2025 and 31 March 2026 and how does that compare to the number housed during the same period in 2024/25?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that 7,144 tenancies were started for people from the Housing Register between 1 July 2024 and 31 March 2025, and 5,054 tenancies were started between 1 July 2025 and 31 March 2026.
