18739 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Universities: What actions, if any, have been taken in the most recent quarter to add 50 new medical school places, to grow our domestic training pipelines?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the Tertiary Education Commission wrote to both the University of Auckland and the University of Otago on 5 March regarding the proposed allocation of the recently announced 25 additional medical places between the two medical schools.
