18729 (2025). Hūhana Lyndon to the Minister of Health: Why was there no reference to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in the Putting Patients First: Modernising health workforce regulation review?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is currently reviewing New Zealand’s health workforce legislation to ensure the focus is on putting patients first, and to enable frontline workers to get on with their jobs and become more responsive to patient needs. This aligns with the Crown's responsibility to ensure that services provided by the Government are focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for every New Zealander.
