18728 (2025). Hūhana Lyndon to the Minister of Health: Why is there no reference to Māori health equity considerations in the Putting Patients First: Modernising Health Workforce Regulation review?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is currently reviewing New Zealand’s health workforce legislation to ensure the focus is on putting patients first, and to enable frontline workers to get on with their jobs and become more responsive to patient needs. Our approach is to modernise the system so frontline health workers can focus on delivering the best possible care for every New Zealander.
