Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to Reply 17213 (2026), which individual or individuals within NZTA, identified by position title, made the decision that NZ Police would not be notified of the potential fraud until 1 August 2025, approximately six months after it was first detected in February 2025?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA did not consider notifying NZ Police until the fraud was confirmed so there is no documentation about this decision.
