18710 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to Reply 17203 (2026), on what date was the individual referred to in Reply 13171 (2026) found to have provided falsified information for the second time; on what date was that individual subsequently issued a new licence; and was any enforcement action considered in the period between those two dates?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by NZTA that the individual provided a Certificate of Particulars (CoP) that was found to be fraudulent in November 2025. It was the same CoP they provided with their original overseas conversion application. As an enforcement action, NZTA revoked the individual’s Class 5 licence. The individual subsequently requested that NZTA reconsider the revocation and instead apply a suspension from commercial driving with a testing option, consistent with the approach taken for others in this cohort. NZTA agreed to this request. The suspension remained in place until the individual obtained a new Class 1 licence in January 2026.
