Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to Reply 17371 (2026), does the fraudulent conversion that occurred in November 2025 as a result of an administrative error bring the total number of fraudulently converted licences from 461 to 462; and if not, was this individual already included in the total of 461?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by NZTA that this individual was included in the total of 461. I note that my earlier response to Written Question 8823 (2026) incorrectly advised all 461 fraudulently converted licences were issued between January 2023 and 31 October 2025. I have since received corrected advice that these conversions, including for this individual, occurred between January 2023 and November 2025. I am advised by NZTA that this individual was included in the total of 461. I have since received corrected advice that these conversions, including for this individual, occurred between January 2023 and November 2025. This aligns with the monthly breakdown of licence conversions between July and November 2025 that I provided in my response to Written Question 17216 (2026).
