18700 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to Reply 17370 (2026), when does NZTA expect to complete its current review of whether further controls need to be implemented for overseas licence conversions; and will the outcomes of that review be reported to the Minister and made publicly available?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by NZTA that the review regarding the current risk profile and effectiveness of the Certificate of Particulars control is due to be completed by the end of June 2026. I expect the outcome of the review to be reported to me shortly thereafter and requirements on those applying for an overseas conversion to be made clear on the NZTA website.
