18695 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: What, if anything, is the annual operating expenditure for the Community Renewable Energy Fund since inception?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that from 2022/23 to partway through 2024/25 the average annual operating expenditure for CREF at MBIE was $403,000. CREF came to EECA part way through the 24/25 financial year. In the 24/25 financial year, the total operational expenditure to EECA was $264,000. For the 25/26 financial year EECA has budgeted $665,000. These costs do not include grants awarded to CREF recipients.
