Hon Mark Mitchell: I was appointed as the Associate Minister for National Security and Intelligence by the Prime Minister on 7 April 2026. Budget 2026 will be delivered on 28 May, and Budget information remains confidential before that date. I direct the member to the upcoming examination of the Estimates by select committee, which includes questions on cost pressures. Advice I have received will be published on the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s website: https://www.dpmc.govt.nz/publications. Some of the titles may not be released if, for instance, they relate to matters of national security, the provision of free and frank advice and/or active consideration.
