18592 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister for Building and Construction: Has the Government received any advice on the differences between a CodeMark certified product and a compliant finished dwelling in building?

Hon Chris Penk: I have received advice from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment on Structural Insulated Panel systems (SIPs) with a CodeMark certificate. This advice covers how the current rules apply to SIPs, and the implications of providing for these in Schedule 1A of the Building Act 2004.
