18583 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister of Local Government: What progress has been made in the last month on addressing the ongoing contamination of school drinking water supplies?

Hon Simon Watts: The Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai is monitoring the progress of the Ministry of Education’s drinking water safety upgrade programme in schools. The Authority receives updates from the Ministry of Education on work underway. The Ministry has assured the Authority that agreed critical safety upgrades are on track to be delivered. Any questions about work related to school drinking water supplies should be directed to the Minister of Education.
