18582 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister of Local Government: What has Taumata Arowai found in reviewing the first full year of council reporting against wastewater environmental performance measures, as mentioned in the Q2 2025/26 report?

Hon Simon Watts: In July, the Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai will publish the first full year of reporting against the wastewater measures in the Network Environmental Performance Report for 2024/2025. The Report will provide national-level oversight of reported wastewater performance, including the condition of plants and networks, the quantity and cause of overflows, and the level of non-compliance.
