Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that the member’s question has been interpreted as referring to the availability of Bail Support Services (BSS) across the country. Between November 2023 and 5 May 2026, BSS have been available in the following locations: • Manukau (started July 2020) • Wellington (started July 2020) • Canterbury (started July 2020) • Waitematā (started July 2020) • Auckland (started July 2021) • Papakura-Franklin (started July 2021) • Te Tai Tokerau (started June 2022) • Tairawhiti (started August 2022) • Hawke’s Bay (started September 2022) • Waikato (started December 2022) • Otago - Southland (started May 2023) • Rotorua (started December 2023) • Tokoroa (started December 2023) • Taupō (started December 2023) • Manawatū (started February 2024) The list above includes locations offering both reduced and all BSS.
