18546 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 5253 (2026), have any of the whānau of participants on the second Oranga Tamariki Military-Style Academy received tailored support at this point in the programme, including connections with Whānau Ora navigators?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that social workers are working with all the families/whānau of the young people participating in the second Military-Style Academy programme to understand their needs and provide tailored support. I am further advised that a dedicated voluntary programme to support families/whānau has been established alongside the residential phase.
