18543 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 5259 (2026), how was the planning and preparation for transition to the community phase initiated earlier in the residential phase in the second Oranga Tamariki Military-Style Academy?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that in the second Military-Style Academy programme, the first transition hui happened in week five of the residential phase, which is earlier than in the Pilot. I am further advised that a further two transition hui involving families/whānau will be held before the completion of the residential phase.
