18542 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 5259 (2026), how is the second Oranga Tamariki Military-Style Academy working with families/whānau earlier in the residential phase and what does 'earlier' mean in contrast to the pilot Military-Style Academy?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that Oranga Tamariki has engaged with families/whānau earlier in the second Military-Style Academy (MSA) Programme, specifically by holding multi-disciplinary team meetings in week three of the residential phase and the first transition hui in week five, which is earlier than in the Pilot.
