18521 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education: Would the Minister consider a policy of requiring international student applicants to have their foreign qualifications formally assessed by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, and if not, why not?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Ministry of Education has not provided me with any policy advice on formal assessment of foreign qualification, nor undertaken policy work on this, as this is not part of my current work programme,
