Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery and the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) between 7-11 April 2025: • Speech and key messages to LGNZ conference in Christchurch, 10 April 2025, 7 April 2025 • Talking points for ECO - Emergency Management Bill discussion document, 8 April 2025 • Vote Prime Minister and Cabinet Estimates: Emergency Management and Recovery, 8 April 2025 • EM Bill discussion document release communications material, 11 April 2025 • CRU Fortnightly Report, 11 April 2025 I also received five additional documents within the specified time frame. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents. Further, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA, Cyclone Recovery Unit, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
