18476 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What proportion of Ministry of Social Development and Employment spending on employment programmes went towards those on Jobseeker Support, as of 31 December 2022, 31 December 2023, 30 June 2024, 31 December 2024, 30 June 2025, and 31 December 2025?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) is unable to provide this information on the cost of employment programmes at the individual level, including their benefit type. Providing the Member with the information would require substantial collation and engagement, diverting Ministry staff from their core duties. Therefore, in accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210/6, I do not consider that the time required, and hence the expense, of answering the Member’s question is in the public interest.
