18474 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: Have there been any changes since 1 November 2023 to eligibility criteria, or assessment and decision-making processes, in relation to Mana in Mahi; if so, what were they and when did they come into effect?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that Mana in Mahi guidance was updated to provide information in respect of the Tertiary Education Commission's Fees Free policy, which changed from 1 January 2025. From 2025, eligible learners could claim the fees for their final year of study upon the completion of their qualification.
